A group of children from Stepping Stones Nursery visited the Fire Station on Friday 24 May during the morning. The children were all aged between three and four years old and were accompanied by their teachers and carer’s. During their visit the children were shown all the fire fighting vehicles, the equipment used by Firefighters and even the protective clothing and equipment used by the Firefighters. The children were also given an opportunity to try their hand at using a hosereel hose and a branch pipe.

Children from Stepping Stones Nursery is given the opportunity to hold a Firefighting hose and branch, he is assisted by Leading Firefighter Frank Baglietto.
