Firefighters supported the Big Mac Day held recently at the local MacDonalds restaurant on the 20 November. The Brigade turned out with its latest fire appliance and crew. On the 20th September eight Firefighters from the City Fire Brigade took part in the Great North Run (Half Marathon) in Newcastle. On Tuesday the 14 July Fire Fighters from the City Fire Brigade successfully rescued a dog that had been stranded on the cliffs above the water catchments slopes on the east side of the Rock.
