Don't Drink and Drive
Firefighters cutting away the roof of the vehicle using Hydraulic Cutting equipment.
Firefighters took part in a simulated road traffic accident at Casemates on Friday 12 December as part of the RGP "Don't Drink and Drive" campaign in the run up to Christmas. In this staged scenario the roof of the vehicle was cut away using hydraulic cutting equipment in order to safely extricate one of the simulated casualties. The purpose of the scenario was to put across the message in a dramatic and realistic way.
A Stabilizer Board is placed into the vehicle to prepare the casualty for removal. Top of page
