Fire Safety In The Home Guide Published
The City Fire Brigade Fire Safety Department have today published their Fire Safety In The Home guide. It includes relevant and up to date guidance in simple terms for the
lay person to understand.
The 24 page A5 booklet has been printed in full colour and gives advice on the
fitting and maintenance of Smoke Alarms, How to prevent Common Fires, How to plan your escape from your
house or flat in the event of a fire, and contact details of the Fire Safety Department. The booklet also gives
advice on making a bedtime check and includes a "Top Ten" list on how to protect your home.It's publication forms part of the Community Awareness programme conducted by the Fire Safety Department with a view to reducing fires in the home and the serious consequences that these could have.
