Brigade Counselling officer appointed

Firefighter Alfred Rovegno has being appointed as the City Fire Brigade Counsellor as from Friday 17 February. Firefighter Alfred Rovegno
has been in the service for over 16 years since 1996 and during this time has witnessed and become aware of the many stressful situations that
Firefighters are faced with in their day to day work. He has been awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills, which was delivered by tutor Martin Owen of Counselling and Training Services (Western Europe) also known as CATSWE. This qualification gives learners the opportunity to investigate the knowledge and skills needed to use counselling skills and engage in a helping interaction appropriately. He has embarked in further counselling training and is currently awaiting further accreditation. |
